The world’s leading association, Project Cargo Network (PCN), has marked a significant milestone exceeding 360 members with a global reach spanning 130 countries.
Since 2010, PCN which is headquartered in the UK, has provided heavy lift and project cargo specialists access to a global network of agents who can handle their shipments, whilst working under strict Membership Rules.
Over the last two years, there has been a significant increase in membership of 35% as a result of an ambitious growth strategy.
This growth has been driven across the globe with an impressive rise in Africa (45%), the Middle East (43%), Europe (33%), Asia (32%), and Latin America (24%). PCN has also seen its social media presence on LinkedIn grow with over 12,000+ industry followers now seeing their daily posts.
In addition to its strong presence in all the major markets, PCN takes pride in its exceptional coverage of smaller markets that are typically challenging for organisations to reach. In recent months PCN has welcomed new members from Gambia, Bolivia, Mongolia, Guyana, Malawi, Mauritius, Madagascar, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Guinea and Réunion.
PCN Recruitment Director, Sam Wilcox says “It is important to always look to expand your network, even in countries you don’t currently have business with, as many leads can be unplanned. We also offer a comprehensive online heavy lift training course, a news/PR service with free inclusion in our monthly eMagazine, a bespoke virtual Meeting Hub, marketing tools, and a Payment Monitoring System. It is also important to note that many project forwarder networks are non-exclusive which means they will allow unlimited companies in each country. However, PCN feels that it is important not to become over-populated so that any familiarity is lost and does not allow more than 5 companies in each country.”
The organisation is looking forward to its 2023 Annual Summit, which takes place in November 2023 in Thailand. By meeting and spending time with each other at the annual gatherings, Members grow confident when working with their fellow PCN overseas offices and increasingly move business to agents within the PCN family. PCN President, Rachel Crawford adds “We express our immense gratitude to our 360+ members who have supported us and provided valuable insights to guide the work of our association. As we approach our 15th anniversary in 2025, we invite any heavy lift forwarders who are not yet part of our membership to join our professional and friendly group. Given the abundance of major infrastructure projects, natural resources, and increasing foreign investment in several key markets, we are confident about the bright future that lies ahead for PCN and its members.”
Successful networking within PCN and having access to leaders in the specialist sector can make an immediate and long-lasting impact on your company.
